Our Story

Driven by Saltwater. Built from Passion.

For us, saltwater fishing was never something we simply did. It became part of who we are.

Our story started along the coast of Southern New Jersey, where some of our earliest memories were made on the water. Long before WaHoo Fishing Gear & Apparel existed, there were early mornings at the dock, long days on the boat, changing tides, screaming drags, and that constant anticipation of never knowing what the next cast or the next trip offshore might bring.

We grew up fishing the back bays of Sea Isle, Brigantine, and Cape May. We waited all year for the spring and fall striped bass runs. We chased flounder through the summer and, as our passion grew, so did our desire to venture farther offshore.

Eventually, the horizon wasn’t far enough.

We began making runs to the canyons, chasing tuna, mahi, wahoo, and anything else that called the open Atlantic home. Those trips changed everything. There is something about leaving land behind, watching the shoreline disappear, and heading into blue water that is difficult to explain unless you’ve experienced it yourself.

Saltwater fishing became an obsession.

It became about more than catching fish. It was the preparation the night before. The run offshore before sunrise. The people standing beside you. The stories told on the ride home. And even after the hardest days the ones when the ocean won you couldn’t wait to do it all over again.

That same passion eventually carried us from the waters of New Jersey to Florida, opening the door to an entirely different saltwater fishery. New species. New techniques. New waters. New friendships.

But the feeling remained exactly the same.

The pursuit never stops.

That journey is what inspired WaHoo Fishing Gear & Apparel.

We wanted to build a brand that represented the people who understand that feeling the anglers who are always thinking about the next tide, the next weather window, the next run offshore, and the next fish they’ll never forget.

WaHoo is built around saltwater fishing, family, faith, friendship, and a deep appreciation for this country and the waters we’re fortunate enough to fish. We want to create quality gear and apparel while helping pass this lifestyle on to the next generation, just as it was passed down to us.

From the back bays of South Jersey to the blue water of Florida, every mile has added another chapter to our story.

And we’re nowhere near finished.

This isn’t just fishing. It’s the pursuit that drives us.
